Coen Teulings

Supervisory board chair

Coen Teulings studied economics at the University of Amsterdam, graduating cum laude before completing his PhD. He subsequently held a range of academic and executive positions, including professorships at the universities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Cambridge, and served as director of both the Tinbergen Institute and SEO Economic Research. From 2006 to 2013, he was director of the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB). From 2018 until September 2026, he was Distinguished University Professor at Utrecht University, where he is now Emeritus Professor.

Alongside his academic work, Coen holds several positions in public and non-profit organisations. As Chair of the Supervisory Board of Stichting Veronica, he brings extensive experience in economics, governance and societal issues. From this perspective, he contributes to the foundation’s strategic direction and its mission to strengthen a free, pluralistic and financially sustainable media sector.
