Annelies van der Pauw studied Dutch law at Utrecht University and tax law at Leiden University. She spent more than thirty years in the legal profession and was a partner at international law firm Allen & Overy until 2020, specialising in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. She also gained extensive governance experience across the corporate, cultural and media sectors, including at NRC Media, the Mondriaan Fund and the Institute for War & Peace Reporting.
Today, Annelies holds several supervisory and board positions, including as Chair of the Supervisory Boards of Maastricht University and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. As a member of the Supervisory Board of Stichting Veronica, she brings her legal and strategic expertise and extensive governance experience to help shape the foundation’s direction and contribute to its societal mission.
